Maria Spies - C'Nano 2020 Thesis Award


The C'Nano 2020 Thesis Prize was awarded in the "Fundamental Research" category to Maria Spies, a young PhD graduate from the Pheliqs laboratory. The quality, originality and excellence of his thesis work, entitled "Correlated electro-optical and TEM studies on single III-N nanowire heterostructures" was of great interest to the jury of the C'Nano 2020 Thesis Awards.

For the fourth consecutive year, the French national Competency Cluster in Nanoscience of CNRS, C'Nano, organizes its annual international meeting in nanoscience.
C’Nano 2020 The Nanoscience meeting aims at gathering the scientific communities in nanoscience and nanotechnology, and will take place in Toulouse from December 8th to 10th, 2020.

In addition to the plenary lectures and parallel sessions on topics at the interface of various research areas *, 6 Prizes will be awarded in 3 different categories:
- Prize « Fundamental Research »;
- Prize « Interdisciplinary Research » for a research work on a subject at the interface between different scientific disciplines;
- Prize « Applied Research » for a research work that gave rise to at least one patent submission or to technology transfer project.
